CATS

I have 3 cats indoors, and one stray that decided I should be his caregiver.  They say that cats are aloof…I say “bull”, they are by far most demanding and will nag you till you give in.

for example, let’s take the stray, I have called him rusty, because of the rust color of his fur.(imaginative, eh?) Well, when he is hungry that darn cat will climb the screens on the window or door, remain there spread eagle till he tires, this mode of getting attention will be repeated until I give in..A test of the wills you say. Yup, and he always wins. If per chance I ignore him, and go into the living room, that darn cat figured it out, and climbs those windows or doors. I might add this realy reaps havoc on the screening material.

Since we live in the midwest, the weather here can be brutal, so I rigged up a little house for him, filled with straw, blanket, and heating pad. This keeps him quite warm and cozy..so the next demand from him is that I keep the heating pad on, especially in the P.M. Yup, you guessed it, the screens get another work out…..And we call them dumb animals.

We’ll not even bring up the attitude of the indoor cats, at some time, we, my husband and I have lost total control of the house, we are nagged, made to give up the couch, chair or what ever…and  trained to be attentive to all their demands. Go figure!!!
