SEASONAL MOODS
It’s amazing how the seasons affect the mood. This winter has really dragged on, then suddenly one day spring popped up and suddenly, everywhere I went I saw smiles and a little spring in the walk. Then winter came back.(argh)
Now for myself, I’m usually a pretty positive person, but this winter is really getting to me.. I like waking up with the sun already greeting me, with warmth blowing through my windows and the singing of the birds that have returned to our area. I like the fact that the day stays light past 5 p.m. and I don’t have to wear the heavy jackets (maybe I should, to cover up the weight gain from eating out of boredom).
My yard has many lilac bushes, in the spring the aroma is heavenly. All the earth awakens producing tulips, daffodils and other spring flowers, in seeing all of this, your mood certainly elevates.
Science has proven that lack of sun definitely affects your mood. Heck, I’m not a scientist and I could have told them that without getting million dollar grants.
Today, the weather channel informed us that we are to anticipate MORE snow for the rest of the week…Well, I have had it! I’m leaving for Florida on Monday and will get my ” sun ” fix…
